Digsby is bringing out a Linux and Mac client very soon

Hey all,

my new favorite multi-protocol IM client is soon to become a multi-platform client. It is still in beta and they're already rolling out a client for the other two platforms. It is a great news to me because I literally fell in love with Digsby on Windows and every time I find myself using Kopete or Pidgin on Linux I yearn for Digsby. It is just so great at what it does. Hope the Linux client is not crippled and offers just as many features as Windows. Sign up for notification here.

p.s. Ars did a nice and simple review of Digsby here.

Talk to you soon.

Someone got digsby running on linux with wine. Seems like a 5-10 minute setup.

You should check it out on the digsby forums: http://forum.digsby.com/viewtopic.php?id=381

I'm not really fond of wine, never got it to work properly and don't even want to bother. I made a promise to myself that when in Ubuntu, no Windows apps. That's pretty cool though.

well they're working on RAM optimization now for Windows which is a pretty substantial change. They're looking for beta testers. I'm sure it's going to take considerable time to do Linux and Mac but let's wait I guess. You can follow on their blow Link

Digsby is an AMAZING program. Its just too easy to have all my emails, social networks and im's in one program.

In fact, digsby is one of the reasons I havent switched to OS X as opposed to vista (I dual boot, but vista wins most of the time).

Great to hear they are making versions for all the OS's...
Digsby could quickly become the popular im client if the newer versions stay stable.

If by "very soon" you mean at least a year...

It's unfortunate that Digsby team still didn't push out a Linux and Mac client so we just have to wait...
